A new Frozen-themed land has opened at Disneyland Paris, part of a massive €2 billion renovation, according to the Associated Press.
The new area is inspired by the animated film of the same name. Its centerpiece is the city of Arendelle, featuring Elsa's ice palace and a stylized Scandinavian village.
This expansion marks the largest in the park's 34-year history. As part of the project, Walt Disney Studios Park was renamed Disney Adventure World.
The project is part of Disney's global investment program totaling approximately $60 billion. It is also the first major development under the company's new CEO, Josh D'Amaro, who was appointed on March 18.
French President Emmanuel Macron noted the significance of the project, emphasizing that Disneyland remains one of Europe's largest tourist destinations. He stated that the new expansion will create approximately 1,000 jobs. Since its opening in 1992, the park has been visited by more than 445 million people, and the total investment has exceeded 13 billion euros.
