Seattle to open floating fan zone for 2026 World Cup
A floating World Cup fan zone will operate in Seattle from June 11 to July 6, 2026. The Seattle Soccer Celebration project will be located on the waters of Elliott Bay near Pier 62.
Organizers will install a floating mini-football field and a large LED screen for broadcasting matches. Concerts, interactive football events, and food courts will also be held there.
The project is being implemented by Seattle Sounders FC and Seattle Reign FC in partnership with the RAVE Foundation. Lenovo is the general partner.
The RAVE Foundation is developing the RAVE 52 initiative, which envisions the construction of 52 free football pitches, representing the number of counties in Washington state.
Seattle is one of the host cities for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The tournament matches will be held at Lumen Field, a stadium with a capacity of approximately 69,000 spectators.
