Paris's oldest bridge has been converted into a large cavern: it is now open to the public.
French artist JR has opened his installation "The Pont Neuf Cave" to the public, transforming Paris's oldest bridge into a large-scale art space. Visiting the site is free and will run until June 28.
The project is a structure 120 meters long, 20 meters wide, and up to 18 meters high. It creates the illusion of a stone cave and integrates visual, auditory, olfactory, and digital elements.
Visitors can also experience augmented reality.
According to the organizers, the project was funded by private donations and support from partners. After the installation's completion, options for preserving, reusing, or recycling its materials are being considered.
