The Middle East's first Disneyland will be built on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

The Walt Disney Company plans to build its first theme park in the Middle East. It will be located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi and will combine Disney stories with local culture.

Yas attracts travelers from the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia, and Europe thanks to its location and infrastructure. The new resort will be Disney's seventh theme park worldwide.

The project promises to combine iconic Disney stories, characters, and attractions with the cultural characteristics of Abu Dhabi, its coastline, and architecture. Miral, a leader in creating entertainment destinations in Abu Dhabi, will develop and build the park. Disney artists will create the creative designs for the attractions.

"Abu Dhabi is a place where heritage meets innovation, where we preserve our past and design our future," said Miral Chairman Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak.

The UAE is a four-hour flight from one-third of the world's population, making the country a key tourism hub. The Abu Dhabi and Dubai air hubs handle 120 million passengers annually, strengthening the region's potential as an international tourism hub.
