A "Little Turkmenistan" will appear in Uzbekistan.
A cultural and tourist complex, "Little Turkmenistan," is planned for Bukhara, where visitors will be able to learn about the crafts, traditions, history, and cultural heritage of the neighboring country, according to the Uza.uz portal.
The project was discussed at a working meeting between the Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, representatives of the Turkish investment company Finwest Finance Company, the Union of Eurasian Local Governments, and the Uzbek-Turkmen joint venture SD Turkmen Haly, which produces and promotes Turkmen carpets.
The complex is conceived as an ethnocultural space, allowing visitors not only to see national crafts and exhibits but also to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Turkmenistan.
Bukhara, one of the most visited tourist destinations in Uzbekistan and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has been selected for the project. The city welcomes hundreds of thousands of tourists annually. Furthermore, Bukhara and Turkmenistan are linked by centuries-old trade routes along the Great Silk Road, a shared history, and close cultural ties.
