Uzbekistan and India have agreed to mutually introduce a visa-free regime for up to 30 days for citizens of the two countries, according to the press service of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan.
The agreements were reached following talks between Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The parties signed a tourism cooperation program for 2026–2028.
Citizens of Uzbekistan will now be able to enter India visa-free and stay for up to 30 days. A similar regime is planned for Indian citizens visiting Uzbekistan.
The program also includes joint cultural events and film festivals. Furthermore, the countries intend to create new tourist routes to increase mutual tourist flow.
