E‑Visa roll‑out advances • While Turkmenistan’s electronic visa law officially came into effect in April, June saw continued groundwork: finalizing the visa types, durations, and issuing procedures via presidential decree and migration service updates. • This marks a major shift away from the old invitation-letter system—expected to significantly ease entry for visitors and support tourism growth. June 5–8: Turkmenistan participated in the 40th Seoul International Travel Fair in South Korea. Crafts, cultural heritage, traditional snacks, and travel destinations were showcased. • June 4–6: A Turkmen delegation, led by Ambassador B. Rejepov, took part in the 71st UN Tourism Commission for Europe meeting in Baku. Discussions centered on regional cooperation, tourism infrastructure, and post-pandemic strategies.
